Supercell's Discontinued Mobile Games
In spite of Supercells many successes such as Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and Brawl Stars, Supercell also made some games that were out of there favor and were discontinued. And today, we are going to talk about those discontinued games.
One of the games that Supercell discontinued was called Pets vs Orcs. Pets vs Orcs was a game similar to Clash of Clans where you build and defend your own town. In your town, there is a market where you can buy items so you can defend your town from Orcs. There are different pets that you can own such as Dogs, Cats, Bears, and also Turtles. There are 2 different kinds of main resources in the game, Gold and Diamonds. To do well in the game, you have to train your pets to attack the ferocious, slimy Orcs.
Pets vs Orcs is the first mobile game Supercell ever created. Learning from their past mistakes from Gunshine (Gunshine was their first ever video game that was on PC), they came to the decision that they had to kill the game or discontinue it. Supercell had said, "It’s usually better to kill games earlier rather than later." So, they did it.

Battle Buddies
Battle Buddies is a very strategized game. You have to drag an arrow to a spot on the map so you can shoot enemies. You have to train your Buddies, so they can learn skills and get stronger. To see an enemy, you have to drag a grey area over the enemy to pinpoint them and then kill. In Battle Buddies, you use coins and gems to buy things which could help your buddies in a battle.
Supercell discontinued Battle buddies because they did not see a vision that the game was going to be popular. Most of the reason that it was projected to not become popular was that Supercell put all of their time and effort into the gameplay part of the game and didn't put much effort into the rest of the game.

Spooky Pop
Spooky Pop is a game similar to the game Best Fiends if you've ever heard of it. There are different levels that you need to complete, so you can rank up and get higher levels. When you get into a level at the bottom of the screen, there is a lot of colored boxes that you need to match so you can kill the enemies. You can shoot explosive barrels which hits a wide range of area so you can kill enemies behind walls. There are dog ghosts that can spit shots out of their mouth and once they shoot it, they have to charge up a spit again.
Since Supercell is very conservative, they discontinued Spooky pop, fearing that if they didn't, they would lose bucket loads of money.
Smash Land
Smash Land is a game where you bounce off of walls to hit your opponents. When you kill the enemy you get XP so you can level up. When you are finished with each level, you get XP and coins. At the beginning of the game, you fight a wizard. When you defeat the almighty wizard, he comes to your team and you can battle with him. In the game, there are a lot of different characters that you can battle with.
Like all of the other games, Supercell discontinued Smash Land because they thought they were going to lose lots of money and they had a vision that it wasn't going to go well for their company.
To Sum it Up
I sometimes wish these games weren't discontinued, but they all had their flaws and reasons that made them failures to Supercell. But Supercell kept going on and their successes are still available.
