The Strangest game about an action driven slice of bread, I am Bread

Many games today are first-person shooters and adventure/story games, but today we're going to visit an action-adventure game. But not just any action-adventure game though, you take the role as a piece of bread. I know it sounds like the dumbest game idea ever, but actually Bossa studios didn't do terrible on the game for most reviews were around 6/10. Many game reviewers did say it was something very unique and strange, making a new category in the video game community.

SPOILER ALERT! This tells a brief summary of the game including the end, so read at your own risk.

Now, of course, we all have to know the plot of a game where you can be a piece of bread. Am I right? It all starts off with the man named Mr. Murton who is a therapy patient that had a failed business in the past and a divorced wife. He is very stressed over the many break-ins that his house encounters and after each break-in, he finds bread crumbs left behind. Very mysterious, right?

With each level or scenario, Mr. Murton continually finds out that the culprit of the break-ins is all because of sneaky slices of a specific bread. Talking to your neighbor would be like, "I found out who keeps breaking into my house. Slices of bread are the culprits and they are all the same type." Yeah, your neighbor will probably never talk to you again.

At the end of your time being a glorious piece of bread, so strong, so mighty, you get thrown in the trash by the man himself, Mr. Mutton, as he escapes out of the building where he was given therapy. On his drive, he encounters a gas station blown up by a piece of bread and he confronts another slice of bread while he was driving, giving him a heart attack and fainting, resulting in a car crash. Mr. Mutton was later grabbed by a man out of the car.

Take a deep breath, you did just read about a killer slice of bread. You'll be fine.

Gameplay

Slices of bread don't just walk along a sidewalk like humans do, so its not just your ordinary, "just walk on two legs". Each level is some day of the week with the goal being that you need to get the slice of bread in the toaster without it touching objects (floor or water). If you do, your "edibility" meter will decrease. Your trusty analog stick and your arrow keys (your fingers if your on mobile) can help you with moving your slice of bread to start point to the toaster.

When your bread in this game, you have to be more than a regular slice of bread. With expansions, you were allowed to be a baguette breaking every fragile item you could see in your sight, a bagel that has the energy to run around the room, and a tiny fragile cracker that searches for cheese fearing that if the it didn't, he would be disintegrated.

In addition to this already crazy madness, there was two levels added named Starch Wars and another bonus level. Starch Wars, a parody of Star Wars, is where you play as a "bread fighter" or a piece of bread in zero-gravity facing fighters and ships made of bakery goods. Whoever thought of that idea was a genious. The bonus level was where the bread seeks to find the unfinished sandwhich and complete it, the obstacle being a character from the game Team Fortress 2.

Many newspapers and game reviewers had a few quotes that I had to share to you about the game. IGN had said that it was, "Something all together different", Vice had said, "A brave new step into fresh madness", and Wired had responded, "Strangest game you'll play this year." Coming to conclusion, it seems like all reviewers think the game is unique, while very strange. If you think that sounds fun to play, go check it out.
